Privacy
SheetsFor has no accounts and no server that receives what you type. This page describes what happens to data when you use the site. Last updated 2026-09-03.
What you type stays in your browser
Every sheet on this site, and the builder, runs entirely in your browser. When you edit a cell, print, download a CSV, copy for Google Sheets, or export a calendar invite, the data is processed on your device. The site's JavaScript makes one network request of its own: the builder's "Start from a sheet" picker loads the list of sheets from this site. Nothing you type is sent to us or to anyone else by the site.
Storage on your device
To survive a reload, the site saves your edits in your browser's local storage (not cookies): the builder's current sheet, and each sheet page's edited rows under a key named after that page. This data never leaves the browser. You can erase it with the Reset sheet button on a page, Start over in the builder, or by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
Shared devices. If you run a sign-in or sign-up sheet on a shared tablet, what people enter stays on that tablet until someone taps Reset sheet. Whoever runs the event is responsible for that information and for erasing it afterwards; we never receive it.
Hosting and the one cookie
The site is served by DigitalOcean App Platform through Cloudflare's network. Like any web host, they may keep standard server logs (your IP address, browser type, the pages requested, and when) to run and protect the service. Cloudflare sets one cookie, __cf_bm, used to tell people from automated traffic; it is strictly necessary to serve the site and expires within about 30 minutes. The site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics scripts.
Advertising
This site may show ads served by Google AdSense. When ads are shown, Google and its partners use cookies or similar identifiers to serve and measure ads, which can include ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google's Ads Settings, and read how Google uses data from sites that show its ads at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Ads never see what you type into a sheet; that stays in your browser as described above.
Children
The site does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Sheets that list children's names (an attendance sheet, a snack sign-up) exist only on the device where they were typed.
Your choices
- Use the site without storing anything: don't type into a sheet, or clear the site's data when you're done.
- Block ads or ad cookies with your browser or an extension; the sheets keep working.
- After you print or export, tap Reset sheet (or Start over in the builder) to erase what was typed from that browser; the file you saved is yours and is not kept here.
Who runs this and what applies
SheetsFor is made by Joe Rutkowski (joe12387.com) and hosted in the United States. It has no accounts, keeps nothing you type on any server, and sells or shares no personal information. Because we never receive or store sheet contents, there is no data-request procedure for what you type. Hosting providers may retain the connection logs described above. Questions about this page: Joe@dreggle.com. If any of that changes, this page and its date change with it.
